Obama’s so offensive statement

Yesterday I wrote about Sarah Palin getting all bent out of shape over nothing. Now I’m reading about a whole state doing the same thing. It’s so childish I just had to roll my eyes. People are just digging for dirt on the president and will use anything and everything to paint him a bad person. Really, y’all, it’s not cute anymore. It’s becoming aggravating.

So, during a speech in New Hampshire a few weeks ago, Obama said “You don’t blow a bunch of cash in Vegas when you’re trying to save in college.” this exact statement is the root of all the hard feelings among the Nevadans. The New York Times reports that today they are feeling better, a little, because Obama said he was happy to hear that some dude was spending money in Las Vegas.

Get over it, Las Vegas!

If residents of Las Vegas didn’t like what Obama said about them, they are certainly not going to like what I have to say here. You can come up with more than a 101 awful things to say about Las Vegas. It’s a place where payday advances are handed out for gambling purposes. Here is what comes to mind when I think about Las Vegas: Prostitution. Gambling. desperate.And really, when was the last time someone said something good about Las Vegas? Does Las Vegas not know who it is? Why do they feel the need to get all upset over this? Why am I getting all upset that they’re all upset? Because I am sick and tired of people finding the most ridiculous, minuscule reasons to criticize the president. It is no not American!

Only time will tell

Throughout history, the former presidents that are most beloved now were highly disliked during their time. Abraham Lincoln was so hated that he was assassinated. It seems the president is always hated by someone. Everyone seemed to hate George W. Bush and now everyone is hating on Obama. However, I still think that 20, 30 years from now people will look back on President Barack Obama with deep respect and admiration.
